Yes. If he was offside then yes it irrelevant if he touched the ball or not. But touching the ball made the goalscorer clearly offside so I do not think they even had to look at the first offside. Was definitely not a goal, I just never saw a clear replay of whether Murray was offside in the build up but it was irrelevant as the goalscorer was off when he touched it. Long debate about two different offsides. Simple fact is it clearly was not a goal. Killie tv just never showed a replay that clarified the first one as Westley? Was clearly offside when Murray touched the ball on.

As I said was a hard one to tell live and I never saw a replay but I did suspect initially but thought it be ruled out for second offside so forgot about it. Since the ref does not go to the monitor for offside we never saw anything and unlike regular games in England and Europe etc we do not seem to get VAR replays. Not sure if it is a Killie tv thing or what.

Was more the tactics never worked. Neither he or Anderson got into the game after he came on. The 3-4-3 just did not work. yup let’s put our target and link man on the wing all the time, great idea.

Honestly Celtic the only team who were expected to win in the games this week. All still got an outside chance at least but they up against teams who you would expect to win. Celtic were clear favourites but they have neglected to sign some quality attackers and it was always a risk.

I only watched during the second half and that was the first attack I saw Liverpool have and they stole the match. Newcastle were amazing with 10 men. Poor tracking by elanga, literally stood and watched when he could easily have got back and made up that extra man. Nice goal but was night time robbery. Feel so bad for Newcastle. What a moment for the young lad though.

I just saw this flashback to last season 🤣 -
Well that was a dramatic second half at St James Park.

Fine margins does work both ways so is a valid point. Felt we could and arguably should have won all 3. Threw away the Livy game. Totally dominated Hibs in second half and yes that Daniels shooting and not passing still annoys me but we also missed a bunch of chances. Dundee game we were lucky with their goal a little but we otherwise dominated and Bruce really got to score that and we had quite a few other chances too. Our final ball and our finishing is not quite there. Been like that since league cup games. Have to say has improved, especially given the improved opposition and you saw that Dundee specifically knew how we wanted to play and worked on trying to stop it too. Use of subs and in game changes not always been effective and that probably been where SK has the most to improve on imo. “Not the end of the world “ as a Rangers manager might say after starting with 3 draws.

No way Mayo playing RWB lol. He Going to play LCB before anyone else like Thompson. Brannan played more CM for the reserves than anywhere else. Your Main point is we do not have options to cover Striker injuries. We can cover other things but not that. We not got young players to step up. We not even got wingers to fill in right now. Our back up strikers barely trusted as subs so we clearly need more options.

Point is we only get players who underperformed previous season. No doubt Calum had a bad season last year which is why he was available at our level. He had good seasons previously and was not remotely someone we could sign. Sort of how it works. You got to see the potential. Difference is Vassell was older and showing an obvious decline over multiple seasons and we are not even talking about goals. Goals come and go for strikers for a multitude of reasons and any scout worth their salt does not sign someone on goals record. They sign them on potential to score goals and do well in the team. How many flops you see cause they get a big move after some great goal scoring season? How many strikers consistently have great goalscoring seasons, not many and those end up at top clubs on big money usually. When at our level you looking at potential to do well rather than some recent great success because honestly those players get money thrown at them and we cannot compete.

No doubt VAR helps with offside. Was not obvious that Murray touched it live but I did feel VAR would confirm he did. Plus there was a possibility he was offside initially but I never saw a replay on that but @muza1962 seems to think so. Was one of those with players moving in opposite directions and a long ball. Very hard for a linesman to call it, I could not tell but if not for the second issue I would have wanted to see it again. The thing is if you willing to not have VAR you willing to accept these kind of mistakes. This is the sort of clear and obvious thing VAR was brought in for. No one on either side was arguing. Hell Murray got booked moments later for complaining at a ridiculous flag against him when he was miles on. Never said a word about the disallowed goal.

Murray was not offside, Murray flicked the ball on and made the goalscorer offside. He barely touched the ball so all he did was get the goal disallowed. Actually I take that back, got no idea if Murray was offside or not but he clearly touched the ball and the goalscorer (forget name) was clearly offside when he did. I did wonder if Murray was offside at the time but never say that replay to know one way or another. May have two offsides but definitely was right decision.

Did you see a replay? Shot was basically a cross to no one. Brown under no pressure sliced it into the net. It not a threat on goal and no one behind him to score. Lack of situational awareness, composure and ability to clear. It a bad own goal that was ruled out by VAR. really no other analysis. You can make excuses but that is the reality. Sugar coat it and defend him cause he young but he in the senior team and should be subject to praise and criticism like anyone else. Other than that he was largely solid if unspectacular and still a darn sight more reliable than Deas. Defending before that was obviously poor and it one mistake but it a bad one he lucky was chapped off.

Mayo can comfortably play on the left side. Has regularly played LCB and LB during his early career and of course played there when Deas was suspended.
