Sad news this morning that John passed away after a battle with cancer. He was a key part of our 1990 promotion winning team. RIP Johnny

Maybe a blessing in disguise that we didn’t go for him!

Scotland discussion (split from Scottish Cup)
shug replied to gdevoy's topic in Killie's Tartan Army
We’ve also got Grant Hanley! -
Club gives a credit of say 20% to this seasons ST holders. Reduces income for building a new squad. 6 months time when we struggling in relegation zone same folk will be demanding board take action to improve our position. Football isn’t like any other business, I don’t care if say Cineworld go bust for refunding multi screening tickets. But I’m not doing anything that will hurt the club or help put it into decline. It’s an emotional commitment not a business contract!

Maybe it’s to be paid over 2 years so only part of it would show in these accounts. Doubt very much if any club pays transfer fees as one lump sum in Scotland these days.

Best game O’Donnells had for us in years

I live about quarter of a mile from Stenny ground. This would have been like a home game for me. Thinking of going down with a ladder and watching over the wall ?

Hearts went down and got 13,000 ST sold plus donations to the foundation of Hearts went up. Of course their priority was to ensure their club survived. Football is an emotional commitment, yes it costs money to follow your club, but what’s the alternative? Watch the club slide down the leagues due to lack of funds?

If folk take this up we’ll be bust before October. The club made the offer in belief fans would be back and it might only be 4 or 5 games they missed! If you want a club to compete for top 6 or survive a season in championship then you’ll stop looking for something back that hurst club financially.

Fun Fact; 24 of the 28 points Killie have won this season have come against sides now in the bottom six. A good record to have going into the split

Long time since we’ve had a striker who can win and hold up the ball as well as he did today!

Good of us to level the sides to 10 men each by bringing Kabamba on! What must brophy be thinking sitting watching that?

Would be funny if there wasn’t a grain of truth to it. Still it’s a good picture, might use it myself

Kabamba is worse than a man short. He is offering nothing for us at present. We need a striker to be able to hold the ball up!

Why don’t we bring every KO forward to noon or 1pm to avoid need to run floodlights?

Doesn’t come to £55M or even £30M. Is Doncaster keeping the rest in SPFL coffers?
