  1. I tend not to shout at players, say they don’t care, call them pish etc. In fact, when I’m in the stadium, I try and stay away from those who do. Very hard at Rugby Park tho, where everybody is an ex-pro with a vast knowledge of the game.
  2. It doesn’t put the Inverness performance into perspective. Every single player was below par and we took a well deserved beating in a Scottish cup quarter final. The semi will be hard to watch, the inal even harder.
  3. You’re pretty spot on with your second point, they certainly didn’t know much about football.
  4. I was sat almost right behind thought at the time it was an unbelievable save, and the highlights on YouTube certainly don’t do it justice. It’s not right at him, the keeper lifts his arm to stop the ball. It was a reflex save, top drawer.
  5. I don’t know if I was in a particularly bad bit of the stand, but the killie fans around me yesterday were unbelievable. 2-0 up away from home, first away win of the season and they hammered players from start to finish. We’ve the weirdest group of fans…
  6. Not everybody attends home games.
  7. The cost of watching professional football in Scotland is remarkable.
  8. 90% of this forum want Vassell replaced with Bobby Wales 😂
  9. We could end up with 20 games away and 18 at home, and we could all moan about how unfair the SPFL has been to us, completely ignoring the fact that we are the worst footballing team in the division, and haven’t won away from home all season, taking only two points in fact. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that, but I worry about our ability to win games post split.
  10. No 15 year old should be signing any sort of contract in any walk of life. They’re kids.
  11. “However, leading academy figures believe it may not be too long before 14 year-olds are allowed to sign paid contracts in line with employment law that lets kids do “light” work from 13 and above in Scotland. There is already a working group discussing the plan comprised of Scottish government, the Scottish FA and leading football figures, who are hoping to have it signed off soon as it would provide clubs with two years of protection before their 16th birthday.“ as per The Athletic’s article on Rangers losing a youth team player to Villa.
  12. Good piece of reasoned insight from someone who watches these players. Not the usual - shouting for them to play cause senior players aren’t hitting the mark.
  13. Bobby Wales. The great white hope.
  14. I’d go Corey Armour Luke Chambers, Ruari Ellis, Jack Sanders, Lewis Mayo Fraser Murray, Kabir Singh, Harvey Gilmour, David Watson, Daniel Armstrong Bobby Wales Senior pro’s haven’t been doing it, time to give youth a chance.
  15. 😂😂😂😂 “keyboard warrior at work” He’s 17 and built like a 17 year old. Bobby Wales up against Craig Halkett or Stephen Kingsley next Saturday 🙄
  16. Because he’s not the other two? McInnes is watching him in training every week and still playing Doige and Vassell, @trenwick is absolutely spot on. Say what you like about McInnes, but I’d go with the judgement of anyone who has spent that long in the game and that of their coaches… It’s probably a hell of a lot sounder than the average fan in the stand Terrible point.
  17. They do get us up the park tho. And it’s a thankless task. Imagine your job for 90 mins was to wrestle with one or sometimes two defenders, bring the ball down or bring someone into play when the quality of the “pass” is effectively a punt up the pitch, and there are, at times no one to bring in to play. “Burrowing a lone furrow” it might be called. I remember Boyd getting a terrible time from the fans at Somerset under McCulloch for exactly that reason… but sometimes as a striker against two defenders, with the ball in the air and dropping anywhere in a 30 yard radius of you, your hands are tied.
  18. Comparing apples with oranges a bit, but as Wales has 6 appearances and 0 goals at premier league level, I would suggest at the moment, no. Anyway, we’re not a team making lots of chances, Doidge and Vassell are in the team more to get us up the park (due to a horrific brand of football) as they are to score goals. I hope Wales does do well, and that he is as good as some think he could be, but at the minute he gets better every time he doesn’t play. It speaks volumes about the state of the club that some are pinning our hopes of staying in the league on a relatively untried 17 year old boy.
  19. I’m talking about the here and now. He’s skin and bone in comparison to the average footballer.
  20. It’s my opinion that Bobby Wales would struggle with the physical demands of professional football.
  21. Completely different level and two completely different specimens of human being. Bobby Wales looks about 12.
