Nabby
I live in Edinburgh & we travelled down today. Had nice bite in Killie Club & at 3:58 we wandered over to the shop. The door was open but we were told the shop was closed. Does Kilmarnock have its own Kilmarnock time? The club has lost custom we were going to buy training gear etc. New strip, new sponsor same old mind set. Time the club really had a word with its staff in terms of what it means to work in retail. They clearly don’t get it. -
Popular Post KillieChap
Opening Times Weekdays: 9:00am - 5:00pm (KO on Matchdays) Sat: 10am - 4pm (5:30pm on Matchdays) Sun: Closed (Except Matchdays) Closed Door Games: 10am - 2pm Maybe you should’ve had your bite to eat after visiting the shop so you could pick out what you were buying in plenty of time before the shop shut.
Popular Post Galdunc11
Agree a bit more flexibility could have been shown but knowing it shut at 4 o’clock could you not gone into the shop before going in to the Killie Club? We all agree big improvements needed on the merchandising front and club rightly criticised but is this a case of putting the boot in when the shop are down? Just asking.

You should have checked the opening times.
Dcktid91
No harm in ordering items online and getting them delivered to your door.. Also the strip is not available to buy from the shop anyway Edited July 25, 2020 by Dcktid91
cammy_boy
Not many places will let you in at 2 minutes to closing time.
Mojike and Bod
Only yourself to blame IMO. Could easily have been avoided you were sitting eating literally 5 yards from the front door of the shop and should have checked when the shop closed
Lroy
4pm is closing time. Not last entry/last orders. Sorry, bud. Your fault this time.

CBFC
Hmmm. Maybe a wee bit of flexibility could have been shown. The door was open and it was 3.58 pm. The shop closes at 4pm so was still open. They could have let you in and locked the door to stop any more customers coming in. However, appearing just before closing considering you were just across the car park for at least an hour seems a bit inconsiderate to be fair. But two wrongs don't make a right.
Bobby14
I actually agree with the OP. They could have been a bit more accommodating. I’m sure small businesses across the country would be more flexible if it guaranteed some custom, especially the way things are just now. -
Scouser2
Given that the Killie club is mere yards from the shop , could easily have checked the times the shop was open in seconds or even asked at the killie club ....has been several issues in past few weeks in some cases rightly moaned about ......but on this occasion , sorry but fault is yours IMO...
Galdunc11
Maybe the shop assistant had a hot date lined up, child to pick up etc and couldn’t hang around on his/her own time.
Dillinger
As said, maybe the folk in the shop had arrangements that meant leaving strictly at 4. There's no way you would have been finished and served by then. They were completely in the right

I can even tell the time & make big boy choices about when I eat. I know I can order things on line - but hey there is additional postage to pay. There is a distinction between when somewhere is due to close and when staff expect to go home. On a positive note I saved the family a heap of money. So all good. -

Galdunc11
Strange attitude to have Nabby. Come on. You’re obviously a killie diehard so don’t go in the huff because of your own bad planning.

Bigdaw
You don't turn up at a shop 5 mins b4 they shut. Staff have to shut things down and get home to their families. They won't get paid for waiting around on you.
