Kilmarnock are set to sign Liam Polworth.

The midfielder will sign a two-year deal at Rugby Park.

The 26-year-old is a free agent after leaving Motherwell in the summer.

Polworth had interest from Scotland and England but Killie have won the fight.

Killie expects Polworth to add even more creativity in their promotion push back to the Premiership.

Boss Tommy Wright has rebuilt his squad after the major disappointment of relegation.

Wright has already been busy signing Zach Hemming, Euan Murray, Jason Naismith, Jack Sanders, Chris Stones, Blair Alston, Daniel Lyons, Stephen McGinn, Fraser Murray and Scott Robinson.

Another pleasing announcement. It certainly feels we will be more structured and solid defensively, with more mobility and energy in midfield than last season. If TW can unearth a reliable striker who can hit 15 - 20 league goals, we'll be on our way to promotion

Creative Midfielder, created loads when Motherwell finished 3rd....fell out with their Manager as he would not re new his contract..... But I saw Alexander in the class of 92 documentary and he comes across as a bawbag himself.... Our Midfield is hopefully going to add assets and goals and not just win the ball and feed the wide players

Decent signing and will give us options in the midfield areas

Last season up to the late signing of that player whose name now escapes me ,  we were badly lacking a consistent goal threat from both striker and other areas such as midfielders, hopefully there will be enough goals in our new look team ……..

They were all raving about him after his first season. Poor 2nd season and now he’s a lazy bastard, lol

Like our wonderful fans saying they hope Alan Power gets a bad injury and all the other crap on that thread. Nothing as fickle as jilted fans.
