Signing on loan for the season from Hibs.

Christian Doidge poised to sign for Premiership rivals Kilmarnock as Hibs set to sanction season-long loan move

KILMARNOCK are poised to sign Christian Doidge on a season-long loan deal.

Derek McInnes has turned to the Hibs striker in a bid to bolster his attack.

The Killie boss has been desperately trying to recruit a striker all summer.

And now he appears to have completed his business just 24 hours before the transfer window closes.

Doidge has fallen down the pecking order at Easter Road this season with all but one of his Premiership appearances coming from the bench.

The 30-year old missed a huge chunk of last term through injury but scored 13 times for Hibs in the previous campaign.

Clwb Pêl Droed Kilmarnock ???????

I think he's a decent player, but I can't imagine he was DM's first choice. He's scored goals in the past so hopefully he can get scoring again, but I think he'll need someone playing alongside/behind him, and I'm not sure that would be Lafferty.

Short-term, Shaw hopefully.

He shows promise, but what we need now is goals. Lafferty is a proven goalscorer and Shaw's still missing glaring chances.

None of the two of them have done much this season apart from Lafferty giving away fouls, he's the best in the league at that.

So Cosgrove off elsewhere then?

He’ll be a better option than Innes Cameron if anything

This is pretty accurate comment, CD will hopefully add more to the striking option than we do currently have coming off the bench.  He may be the alternative option for KL.  Think it was the Celtic game where he sustained a possible foot injury and has for whatever reason continued to play.

It’s another striker , so good to get bit of competition and IF he does sign then good luck to him……..yet another loan , fair racking them up , was hoping could got a permanent deal done for a striker

Down side is he won’t be able to feature at weekend nor in any other game v Hibs

Reportedly earning five figures a week at Hibs. That would make him very unlikely to sign a permanent deal elsewhere until it expires.
