Scouser2 Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 At least a midfield 3 , pity Ndaba not yet ready to play that left sided role as we have looked unbalanced in recent games shoehorning Deas in there 0 Quote

piffer Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 seems the most obvious. I hope it’s 4-3-3 as anything else could really isolate Vassell I don’t think the four CBs has worked so far but hopefully that changes tonight. Personally I’d have put Polworth in at CM as well as he’s one not scared of the football. Good to see young Watson back in. Not sure why he was dropped in the first place and his cameo vs Hibs should have been enough to get him back in at the weekend 2 Quote
Pride_of_ayrshire Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 I understand Deas played lb for caley a number of times but it’s been evident he’s not one in this division .my fear is the speed of him up against Vargas for hearts could be a problem and his lack of judgment proven with his challenge on sat makes it a bigger problem 0 Quote

skygod Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 (edited) No comparison between the benches. Barring a McInnes brain fart, we’ve got six or seven who are unlikely to appear. Oh, and another game has come too early for Donnelly. Let’s hope he’s fit for the post-split matches. Edited September 26, 2023 by skygod -2 Quote

Probably the only one who has never played left back. Deas and Findlay are both s**tty left backs. If only someone could have predicted this Malarkey in advance. -1 Quote
McDicken'sLeftPeg Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 I have a really good feeling about tonight. We're gonna stroll it. 2 Quote

I can see the thinking behind many of McInnes' signings/re-signings that people generally criticise, but Donnelly is bizarre. He was an injury risk before we signed him, he was an injury problem for the entire time he was here in his first stint, and he continues to be an injury problem now. The fact we left the light on for him all summer really makes me wonder what we see in him. He's hardly the second coming of Makelele even when he is fit. 1 Quote
