January transfer

Remember , AD actually said " if cant get anymore in, the squad is good enough " !!!!!!! He is deluded if he truly believes this, what a sh@$show we have become. Incompetence from the very top. The only saving grace is no smarmy wink emoji.

And what do we do in the Summer then? No manager, 5 players signed on for next year no one after then. We need to rebuild a foundation that we had under Steve Clarke.

Mulumbu does not do that.

We strat again in the Premiership rather than the Championship.
This window is all about saving ourselves this season as all the other teams strengthen, its not about building for the long term.

I think someone was on the wind up - we can put the pitchforks away.

I know it’s not Shiels this time, but we need a Shiels-type character with the ambition, vision and appetite to work with us. We’ve made a lot of bad managerial appointments in recent years. Far more important than if we sign anyone tonight is getting a proper manager in and sorting out the scouting and associated football functions of the club or we’ll just keep doing this every six months.

I've no confidence in the board to appoint such a manager. They can hardly make an appointment which lasts for six months.

As for getting in "a manager sorting out scouting and associated football functions", isn't this  exactly what Fowler is supposed to be doing?

We've lurched from making a high-risk, high-cost appointment to making risk-averse choices in Dyer and Fowler. Once bitten, twice shy. We need someone in the boardroom who is a lot more astute. It's easy to spend money on capital projects; less so in the treacherous waters of football management.

Thought I would wait until we did actually reach page 150 before commenting and now we are here I genuinely can’t believe our current situation. Hoping against hope that someone pulls something out of the hat but if not what a downward spiral we are on.

Christ on a bike, if this becomes reality please turn the lights out . We dont need a center half, never mind an old injured one ffs. I thought AD was a top " coach " ?. Clearly not, as a blind man can see we dont create chances or score enough goals.  After tonight and all the signings those around a below us have made, we look odds on for bottom two . Ragin

The frustration is we really need players and we are leaving it pretty late. Although they didn't have the best of experiences we've lost Sow, Jackson and Millar. Yes we have signed Kabamba and Bunn but we badly need more as our rivals are strengthening.  Big 4 hours this

Trying to resign myself to Broadfoot...

We'd have three of last seasons back four. He's a big character. The players really like him. He's a leader...

I'm really trying... Sigh
