Popular Post killieblue
YOUSSOUF MULUMBU reckons the right man to pick up the pieces of a shattered Kilmarnock dressing room is already at Rugby Park. The Congolese midfielder had two spells at Killie and he says Alex Dyer is the man to take them forward following Angelo Alessio’s sacking. Mulumbu has high praise for his old coach and insists Dyer should be given the chance to return to Steve Clarke’s successful blueprint and continue the good work the duo carried out in Ayrshire. He said: “I think Alex would be the right man. He’s the natural legacy of Steve Clarke. “He knows the club and the players. He has a good tactical knowledge and he is a winner. “He would be a very good choice. I enjoyed working with him. he’s a great coach. He loves to speak with players. “He is very close with the players and the dressing room and he’s honest. “He is similar to Steve. This is exactly what footballers want from their manager.” Dyer did not throw his hat into the ring for the top job when Clarke left for Scotland in the summer. Instead, he joined his old boss on the Hampden coaching staff while remaining in his current Killie role. But Mulumbu insists Dyer should be owner Billy Bowie’s first choice as the search for a new manager begins. He added: “It’s a good time for Alex to be the first choice. He has learned from different coaches and knows the club very well, so good luck to him.” Mulumbu was a big hit with the Killie faithful and starred in one of the best midfields in the Premiership last season. The 32-year-old is currently without a club after being released by Celtic at the end of the season and hasn’t ruled out returning to Rugby Park. He said: “You never know. I have never closed any door.” Edited December 18, 2019 by killieblue

Popular Post Dillinger
Dear Santa, I know I haven't always been good this year, so I wont write a long list. All I'll hope for is that I've been good enough to get the one thing I really want. Please can Youssouf Mulumbu come back to Kilmarnock? I promise I'll be really good in 2020. PS. I've got your mince pie and milk all ready. Yours hopefully Graeme Age 33
Scouser2
It's good to hear that Magic Mulumbu is alive, well and contactable .........seemed to have disappeared again for while there ......hopefully he has kept himself fit wherever he has been relaxing ... Wise words too about AD and his relationship with players , whilst in his position as Assistant Manager, whether or not AD can continue that same kind of approach IF wanting the step up to the extra duties , decision making and responsibilities of a Manager role will be interesting to see

piffer
Get it done now if possible. We might get a contribution out of him in the last few games of 2019. We could certainly get him training and ready to go in January.

Mclean07
Mulumbu is a bit like Boyd, comes to us when there’s absolutely nothing else for him. Doesn’t sit well with me. -

He will also not be up to fitness for months. I could be wrong and would certainly give him the chance but im really not sure of him coming back.

Other players might resent him walking back in whenever it takes his liking.

Scouser2
Seems to me he was contacted to talk about AD , and when asked about coming back to us he gave the usual kind of answer would hope most employees who leave us on good terms do.......

Mulumbu reminds me of the amateur/ Sunday league player who never trains but always gets a game because he's a decent player and his pal is the manager.
